Fulton County Jail Roster Overview
The Fulton County Jail Division page directs the public to the Fulton County Sheriff's Office Mobile App for the most up-to-date inmate information. It names app uses that include inmate commissary, inmate listings, inmate medical, and more. The official app flyer shows an Inmate Lookup tile and a Jail Info tile. That means the Fulton County jail roster search is app-centered, not a normal browser-based roster with profiles visible to search engines.
The county jail record is local custody information. It is not the same as a court docket and it is not a prison locator. If the person has just been arrested in Fulton County, start with the app and then call Fulton County Jail. If charges have been filed, search Indiana MyCase for the court record. If the person has been sentenced to state prison, use the Indiana Department of Correction locator. If federal or immigration custody is involved, use the BOP or ICE systems instead of guessing from the county jail listing.
Use the Fulton County Inmate App
The official app is listed as County of Fulton (Indiana) in the Apple App Store and Google Play. Apple identifies the seller as County of Fulton (Indiana), and Google Play lists OCV, LLC as publisher. The county PDF flyer identifies the Fulton County Sheriff's Office app and shows Sheriff Travis W. Heishman, plus public-safety tiles such as Inmate Lookup, Jail Info, Most Wanted, Reports, Sex Offenders, Submit A Tip, Calls for Service, news, social media, and notifications.
The official Fulton County Jail Division page is the county page that routes inmate listing users to the mobile app.
The app notice is why the Fulton County inmate records workflow starts with the app instead of a normal public roster page.
- Start at the official jail page so the app route is tied to Fulton County, Indiana.
- Open the County of Fulton (Indiana) app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Use the Inmate Lookup or Inmate Listings feature for current Fulton County Jail custody.
- If the person is not returned, call Fulton County Jail at 574-224-5630 and ask about current booking, release, transfer, or another-agency hold.
- For a filed court case, search Indiana MyCase; for state prison, search IDOC.
Fulton County Roster Search Fields
The county app fields could not be publicly inspected in the research environment, so the field table must separate confirmed features from unverified profile details. The Indiana County Jail Public Portal has visible fields and confirmed Fulton metadata at its county endpoint, but a live current inmate route required captcha or token access during inspection. For Fulton County inmate records, the sheriff app remains the county-published route.
| System | Field Label | Type | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| County of Fulton app | Inmate Lookup | App tile | Confirmed on official sheriff app flyer; internal search fields not visible. |
| County of Fulton app | Jail Info | App tile | Confirmed on official flyer and useful for jail rules and contact paths. |
| Indiana County Jail Public Portal | Last Name | Text | Visible state portal field; live Fulton results not obtained. |
| Indiana County Jail Public Portal | First Name | Text | Visible state portal field. |
| Indiana County Jail Public Portal | Birth Date | Date | Visible state portal field. |
| Indiana County Jail Public Portal | County | Dropdown | Fulton metadata confirmed as FIPS 18049, code 25, name Fulton. |
Fulton County Inmate Profile Details
Fulton County's app-gated lookup prevents a complete public sample profile from being inspected. The county confirms inmate listings, inmate commissary, inmate medical, and jail information through the app. The app flyer confirms Inmate Lookup and Jail Info. It does not verify that every public user can see a mugshot, booking number, charge list, bond, housing unit, release date, or detainer field. Those items may be available after opening the app, but they should not be promised without direct verification.
| Field or Feature | Fulton County Research Status |
|---|---|
| Inmate Listings | Confirmed by the official jail page as an app feature. |
| Inmate Lookup | Confirmed as a tile on the official sheriff app flyer. |
| Commissary and Medical Information | Confirmed by the jail page as app information categories. |
| Booking Photo | Not confirmed in a public sample profile. |
| Charges or Bond | Not confirmed in a public sample profile; check MyCase and the jail for official status. |
| Housing Unit or Release Date | Not confirmed in inspected public materials. |
When to Call Fulton County Jail
The direct jail phone line is a core access channel, not a minor detail. Call Fulton County Jail at 574-224-5630 when the app does not show the person, when a booking may still be processing, when release may have occurred, or when another agency may have transported the person. The Sheriff's Office line, 574-223-2819, is better for law-enforcement records routing and broader sheriff questions.

Booking Process in Fulton County
Fulton County does not publish a full step-by-step intake checklist. The researched path is cautious: an arrest or warrant surrender may lead to transport to Fulton County Jail, where staff create a custody record, verify identity, review arrest or warrant papers, and secure property. Booking photographs and fingerprints are common jail practices, but the county pages reviewed do not publish an exact local intake-photo or fingerprint rule.
After booking, phone access, medical needs, classification, housing, commissary, and court processing may follow. Fulton County says phones are available for inmate use, collect calls may be made, commissary phone cards may be purchased, and outgoing calls are monitored except attorney-client calls. A prosecutor-filed case is separate. Once the prosecutor files charges, Indiana MyCase and the Clerk of Courts become the court-record channels.
Find County, State, and Federal Inmates
Many failed Fulton County inmate searches happen because the person is in the wrong system for the search being used. The Fulton County app is local. IDOC is state prison. BOP is federal prison. ICE is immigration detention. VINE can send custody or case notifications, but it does not replace the official docket or the jail's own custody confirmation.
| Custody Type | Where to Look | What It Covers |
|---|---|---|
| Fulton County Jail | County of Fulton app; jail phone | Recent bookings, local custody, local holds, possible other-agency holds |
| Indiana state prison | IDOC offender locator | Sentenced state prisoners, DOC number, facility assignment |
| Custody notifications | Indiana VINE | Custody and case notification registration |
| Federal prison | BOP inmate locator | Federal inmates from 1982 to present |
| Immigration custody | ICE detainee locator | ICE custody or CBP custody for more than 48 hours |
Fulton County Booking Records Requests
Records that are not visible in the app may require an Indiana Access to Public Records Act request. Fulton County pages link to NextRequest, but the research found limited public access to the portal during inspection. The practical route is to call the Sheriff's Office or jail and ask how to submit an APRA request for booking records, jail records, incident reports, or booking photos that are not available through the app.
The Fulton County Prosecutor has a separate APRA page and request form, but that form applies only to records requested from the Prosecutor's Office. It should not be used as if it were the sheriff's booking-record form or the clerk's certified-court-record process. The prosecutor form cites Indiana Code 5-14-3 and lists a 10-cent standard-size copy fee for prosecutor records.
Fulton County Jail Visitation
Fulton County publishes video visitation as the normal visit method. The county's visitation page says lobby kiosks are available Saturdays and Sundays from 8 am to 8 pm free of charge. CIDNET accounts are required for video visits, messages, and phone calls. Disruptive or disorderly behavior by a visitor or inmate can end a visit, and proper dress is required. Nudity is prohibited and may suspend future visits.
| Visit Type | Schedule | Cost | Provider / Rule |
|---|---|---|---|
| Onsite video kiosk | Saturday and Sunday, 8 am-8 pm | Free | CIDNET; dress and conduct rules apply |
| Remote video | Not published by county page | Not published | CIDNET account required |
| Attorney visits | Not published on inspected page | n/a | Call the jail for attorney visit routing |
Mail Phone and Money Records
Fulton County publishes detailed inmate service rules. Incoming mail is delivered Monday through Saturday except holidays. Mail without the sender's name and address is confiscated and held in inmate property. Incoming mail is inspected before delivery except legal mail unless contraband is suspected. Inmate-to-inmate mail or notes from this jail or another jail or prison are not allowed.
| Service | Official Detail | Provider or Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Phone | Collect calls and commissary phone cards are available; attorney-client calls are excluded from monitoring note. | CIDNET |
| Money deposits | Lobby money machine, mailed money orders, and online deposits are named. | JailATM |
| Commissary | Funds may be used for commissary, phone talk time, and medical needs. | County-specific fee table not published |
| Books and magazines | Must come directly from the publisher if Jail Commander consent is given. | Prior consent required |
Note: Confirm custody with Fulton County Jail before sending money, mail, or scheduling a video visit.
Fulton County Jail Record Terms
Local jail and court terms overlap but do not mean the same thing. A booking can appear before a formal court case. A charge can change after prosecutor review. A hold can prevent release even when a local bond exists. These definitions help separate the custody record from the court record.
- Booking
- Jail intake after arrest, when identity, property, and custody papers are processed.
- First appearance
- An early court hearing where rights, charge information, release terms, and next dates may be addressed.
- PR bond
- Release on a written promise and conditions rather than an upfront cash payment.
- No-bond hold
- A status where release is not available until a court or agency takes action.
- Detainer
- A request or legal basis for another agency to keep the person in custody.
